Does anyone know what this can be? He lost 1 kg since 2/3 months and from scratching (itch) he lost a lot of his fur around his neck (in general his coat is a lot thinner than it was before). He’s treated for fleas, so that’s not it. I’m thinking about a food allergy or a hormonal issue (he’s neutered at October 04). Been to the vet already, but they also can’t tell me what it is. The only thing i can do is wait and see if it’s gonna disappear by itself or i can go to a dermatologist… Maybe someone recognize these symptoms?? (Only his appearance has changed, his behavior is still the same)

Usual medication was given to Alera today, a jab of antibiotic, vitamin B-complex and a pill. The urination is getting better, not that reddish anymore. However, when look closer under microscope, it still contain some blood cells which we can’t see with out bare eyes. The wound has healed properly. The vet also said he is not dehydrated anymore. When I left the vet, I was a bit hurry and left the collar cone there on the table. So tonight I have to let Alera by himself without the collar. I found one of Bobo’s puppy shirt and put it on. It fits well on Alera but just doesn’t covered Alera’s wound fully. He looks pretty handsome on it. Hopefully he won’t bite the wound tonight. His doesn’t like the low pH dry food and I have to force feed him, but he did drink glucose and water by his own when I gave it to him. The vet said he has to be on low pH food, at least for this period of time. ps : Alera still bit himself when I last cleaned him at 10:40 pm. I have no choice and had to make a cone that similar with the collar cone from cardboard and masking tapes. My fault for not bringing back the cone.

Our cat was lost for 19 days. We found him at a shelter over 14 miles away from home. He had a long journey and his very happy to be home. Looks like walking death due to lack of food over the past 3 weeks. Poor guy.

Abraham is a 6 year old grey and cream short haired tabby mix. He’s not only superbly handsome, but is also a wonderfully affectionate, gentle and soft guy as well! He is a large cat, and once he understands his lap potential… well, look out cause he’s going to take over that lap!! He’s very comforted by having people around him although he may seem shy at first. Abraham is searching for someone to bond with and he isn’t too picky as long he gets a good back scratch, a full bowl of food and a comfy place to sleep. He’s a wonderful guy and he’s really going to be a great companion in his new home. Abraham eats a dry cat food that helps him maintain urinary track health. The food is available over the counter and is not very expensive. Ask us about his diet and keeping him a healthy and happy kitty.
