This is our cat, Pom-Pom. We had originally adopted her from a SPCA in Virginia back on March 12, 2011. Since we do not know her true birthday, we consider 3-12 as her unofficial day of celebrating her birth. She had two previous owners, both of whom were forced to give her up due to allergies from somebody in their family. When we got Pom-Pom, she was already weighing in at a whopping 18lbs. This is why we named her Pom-Pom, because in Chinese it can be translated into ‘Fat-Fat’Since then, we have tried putting her a diet, and “specially prescribed” food, and so she now weighs in at about 14lbs. Pom-Pom will turn 9 next year (3-12-2012). Her lazy Garfield – esque style of living makes all the members of our family feel jealous about how chill and work-free her life is.
