Honey and the male cat discuss Tuck’s future in the household. About Cat Clips This episode is part of the humorous “Cat Clips” series, which features the ongoing adventures of a group of cats in the New Jersey suburbs. The cats are avid fans of pop culture and fill their days discussing the latest celebrity gossip, political mishaps and topical entertainment related subject matter. They also engage in plenty of mystery and intrigue, as they continually try to scheme and outmaneuver each other, most often with comical results. Meet the Cats: Honey (aka Chase), an orange and white long-haired domestic, is the oldest female of the group, and loves to eat chocolate and other sweet treats. Often referred to as “Big Mama,” the Mother of the clan is not afraid to give her opinion on almost anything—whether you ask for it or not. (Later in the series, it’s discovered that Honey is actually a diabetic and so she must reluctantly give up her pension for popsicles and pastries in favor of daily insulin shots.) Trey is an all-black short-haired domestic cat who often looks at life through a cynical pair of eyes. Though he teases Honey relentlessly, he also feels a deep affection for her, and it soon becomes apparent that his tough exterior is mostly for show. Tipi arrives in Episode #36 to become the youngest female feline of the group. She is an extremely ambitious cat with only one thing on her mind—to become a huge mega-star. She loves to sing, dance and act, and uses every …
The quality-price equation. Want to feed the best and pay less? All Dave’s products have one distinct advantage over other super premium holistic brands — price. Why? Dave’s has eliminated the middle man and excessive marketing costs that inflate pricing, so he is able to deliver you a top quality holistic product at a drastically reduced price. A Word From Dave… “In 35 years selling premium pet foods, I have seen a gazillion brands come and go. I am often mystified at the prices of some of these products. As my business and our volume grew, I was able to go directly to the manufacturers and have them make formulas equal to the very top holistic brands and cut out the middle man. It is a huge savings I have been passing along to my customers for years. I have some pretty sophisticated customers not to mention some pretty finicky ones! They know good food and they appreciate good value.”

Sammie (my parents cat) was hospitalized because of a life threatening obstruction of the urethra by struvite crystals. Three days ago they had to do a penis amputation. He now has a bladder catheter, still needs it for another three days. Then it will be removed and he should be able to urinate like a female cat. He doesn’t like the clinic (who can blame him) and stopped eating, they had to force feed. It is really important he keeps eating because of his overweight, or else he could get serious liver problems. Today he voluntarily accepted food from me, so that’s a good sign!
One of America’s favorite comfort foods, potato soup is served everywhere from steakhouses to country diners. Hi, I’m chef Jason Hill of Chef Tips and today we’re making a creamy potato soup recipe that’s dressed up with smoked gouda cheese. If you can’t find smoked gouda, a steakhouse secret to that creamy texture is a processed cheese such as Velveeta. Creamy Potato Cheese Soup 1 tablespoon dried basil 1/2 stick (4 tablespoons) butter 2 cups shredded smoked Gouda cheese 6 small red potatoes, diced and reserved in cold water to prevent browning 2 diced carrots 2 diced celery stalks 1 white onion, diced 1 teaspoon garlic-shallot puree (or 2 cloves garlic, crushed) 2 cups heavy cream 6 cups chicken broth Turn stock pot on medium high. Melt butter. Add celery, onion, carrots. Cook down until onions are transluscent. Add basil and garlic-shallot puree. After 3 minutes, add potatoes and stir another 3 minutes. Carefully pour in 6 cups chicken broth. Boil for 20 minutes, then stir in a roux made from 4 tablespoons flour and 4 tablespoons butter. Wait a few minutes for the soup to thicken slightly. Add cream. Whisk and simmer for 20 minutes. Slowly stir in cheese and melt it down. After cheese is melted, pour into bowls and season with salt and fresh cracked pepper.

Apple cider vinegar is a lifesaver. This simple home remedy does wonders for cats. It helps boost their immune system and aids their digestive track. It’s also good for urinary tract infections or prevents crystals from forming in the urine. I really love this stuff. Less is more so please don’t give your cat more than a recommended dose of 1/4 tsp diluted in 8 ozs. of water. They trust you, so don’t hurt them. My cat, Sasha, had been sick for 3 weeks straight before I stumbled on this information. It really, really works. I thank God for it because I’m not sure if my cat would have survived. He lost a lot of weight while he was sick. He weighs 20 pounds and it was noticeable. Now, he’s gained 80 percent of his weight back and he’s not sick all the time from hairballs and that awful food we feed them called store bought cat food. He got sick because I changed him to high quality cat food, but he was too old to adjust to the change, so I had to switch him back. He is happy as a little clam now. He’s birthday is in December. He will be 15 years old — that’s a major milestone for any cat. So before you judge, consider the whole story. Don’t be so judgmental or close-minded.
