and the other end not being too pleasant either. mine really seems to disagree with it. Its the kind of food the vet tells you to stay on, CD-S, any simuliar experience?
3 years ago she started having skin problems, vet said it was cat acne, put her on antibiotics, got better until antibiotics ran out. Put her on a fish free diet and she was fine for a year, eating wellness brand cat food. Then it started again so I switched to a new food "Eagle Pack, duck and oatmeal formula" she was fine for another year and it started again. Now its been 8 months of constant scratching and chewing herself. Got a new vet but the same treatment with the same results. She lives in a cone now. It’s very sad, I want her to be a happy kitty she is sooo lovable but kinda gross with the open wounds. She doesn’t have fleas, we have moved twice so I don’t think it’s environmental, doesn’t eat out of plastics and I have removed many plants from the house in case she was eating them. I have tried switching foods again with no change, for a week she has been on a "hypoallergenic food", still too soon to see a change. Any ideas or common experiences would be appreciated

I know a lot of people here still feed their kitties Science Diet. I can no longer trust any cat food 100%. My cats are now transitioning to raw and home prepared diet. We are 75% there. In the meantime, I sure hope Felidae, Solid Gold and 9-Lives stay "clean."

If I were you, I’d take kitty off ANY Science Diet. Check for "safe" foods in Pet Food Tracker. Through this whole horrible business, I kept cats safe by going by a simple mantra: "No ffods made by Menu; No foods with wheat, corn or rice glutens; No foods that has some other variety on recall; Check the Pet Food Tracker and Itchmo daily; plus check the web sites of the manufacturers of the commercial petfood I STILL have here (even though I am giving these only as "bribe" foods to get cats to eat their home prepared meals).

Persian always takes two kernels of another cat’s food out of a dish with his paw: Movie shows Nebelung as a 16-year-old cat’s friend.
He’s currently on prescription food.. I don’t want him to have UTIs or anything, but I also don’t want him to die from poisoned food. The brand he’s currently on has not recalled any cat food, but has recently started recalling some dog food. Can I make his food at home, or is there medicine in it that’s otherwide unattainable or hard to get? The brand is Royal Canin.

My cat has been diagnosed with kidney stones and bladder infection and the vet says he needs to eat special food. The problem is we have other cats in the house so they all have to be on it to avoid the one with a problem getting other food. I bought a 20lb bag of Hills Science Diet from the vet and it was . This is a bit steep for us feeding all of the cats. Is there any other brands you could suggest that is just as good but a bit eaiser on the wallet? Thanks!
